WHAT IS SCMSA?
SCMSA “Suez Canal Medical Students’ Association” is an independent, non-governmental and
non-political federation of medical students in Suez Canal University.

Students’ Associations - Egypt (IFMSA-Egypt) which is an independent, nongovernmental and
non-political federation of medical students gathering thousands of medical students from 28
different Faculties of Medicine in Egypt.

IFMSA-EGYPT
IFMSA-Egypt was founded in 1969 and it's considered to be the oldest students' organization in
Egypt.
IFMSA-Egypt is a full member in IFMSA since 1969, representing Egyptian Medical Students
and carrying their voice to the world since then.
Our association has always been focused on empowering medical students to achieve their
ambitions. It inspires medical students to unleash their full potentials and reach their goals.
We
achieve this by developing their skills, enhancing their capabilities and driving their
ambitions
forward to provide a community filled with well educated, ambitious doctors to finally meet our
goal of creating an environment of highly aware people with their wellbeing!
It is with this vision in mind that we have chosen our slogan, Empower Your Ambitions
All activities of SCMSA are linked to one of its six standing committees and the annual international summer which are:
- Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME)
- Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE), which coordinates medical student international exchange
- Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE), which coordinates international research exchange
- Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH)
- Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS (SCORA)
- Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP)
