WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS HAD TO SAY

Tarek

"I really enjoy travelling to new countries, but my trip to Egypt was different because it was the best with no doubt, we had such a great time. The combination of educational and social programs was great and interesting, in despite that Egypt is such a great city with historical monuments we had so much fun. At first we met a lot of new people from different countries whom have different culture, different language, different points of view, and making friendship with those people was great and of course the funniest and friendly people the Egyptian. I enjoyed the activities that we had, to be more specific what I enjoyed the most was our trip to dahab it was great and also sharm sheikh. This trip will stay in my memory forever. I had great moments with you guys with appreciation to SCMSA."

These past three weeks were three weeks shrouded in mystery, three weeks where I leaned to see the world with my soul’s eyes, to understand what love truly is, to see beyond the surface. It wasn’t just a trip or a camp, for me it was a story. A story about bravery and friendship, about daring to ask questions and to answer them, about finding myself in the middle of an old, long, dusty road. I was asked there what’s my favorite place in Egypt and I couldn’t find then the right answer because it was all so fascinating. Thinking back now, maybe it was that climbing on the mountain in the middle of the night, maybe it was that beautiful sky full of stars, or that sunrise that filled the sky with beautiful shades of warm yellow, pink and red lines, maybe the pyramids, the journey on the legendary Nile, or the hours spent at the hospital. It seems that I still can’t choose a favorite place because every single place had something special, something unique, something magic that can’t be described in words no matter how hard I try. I can say that I lived and saw the best places and things in my life. I had a lot of breathtaking moments there. And maybe without you all I couldn’t have done any of this.

Each one of you has shown extraordinary professionalism and dedication. You made me feel safe, I met lots of talented people with your help, you were truly wonderful, you made this experience the best one in my life till this moment. It didn't matter from where I was or what language I spoke. We were all the same there, laughing, dancing, fooling around together, loving and then crying when all of his reached the end. Egypt, for me, will always be the place where the sunset makes the sky full of so many beautiful colors and the stars are still shinning bright at night. Egypt is that place where I can still walk barefoot, feeling the soft sand through my fingers, where the silence can be heard. Yes, Egypt will forever be my magic land, my precious memory where I’ll lose myself when I need to find my thoughts. I truly hope I’ll be able to return someday there.
